The project proposes the partial embankment fill of some of the ancient Greek ruins from the classical Agora of Athens, in particular the Stoa of Attalos, the South Stoa, the Metroon and the temple of Hephaistos (thesaion). The projects is a comment upon the continuous excavation works, the destruction of the ruins due to their contact with the atmosphere, the political and national symbolism of the classical ruins. It is also a homage to Robert Smithson
